I love the people on DU. So many characters, so many nice folk.

We are a stubborn bunch, no doubt - and we are always RIGHT! And we have "facts" to back us up with.
You probably know me as a Bernie supporter, but I am not a fanatic, in the sense that I won't have hard feelings in the long run for perceived insults, and all the crap that goes with a contentious primary.

I've always said that when all is said and done, we let bygones be bygones. I still REALLY do think Bernie has a legitimate path to the nomination. But regardless, I owe him for all the work he's put in and all the education he's provided. Win or lose, the cat's now out of the bag. We can no longer go backwards or keep the status quo. It will take time, but the more people that demand change, the faster the changes will occur.

If Mrs. Clinton so happens to attain her goal, I will wish her well, but will keep the heat on.

I prefer Bernie too, but if it's Hillary, then I'll crawl on my belly through broken glass to vote for her over any republican.

from Portland, Boston, upstate and Delaware came in. Also drove up to one in Boston once- a few people flew in, we all ended up at Will Pitt's house. And two other times went down to DC for protests and meetups. Some people crashed with DUers they got along with, some split hotel rooms. I would say to get any sizable group, you'd have to meet where a city is either Milwaukee or Chicago, hopefully with something else going on? (the protests made it a good excuse to travel)
Or somewhere between if some Duer(s) were willing to host or be a guide to the area. Try the state forums and lounge to gauge interest maybe.
Anyway, haven't done it in years, and many of the people I met are no longer here, but they have visited me since (and cat sat for me) and vice versa and we keep up. So it gives me a sentimental feeling about this place.

I don't smoke cigarettes. When my doctor asks if I smoke, I say yes, but not tobacco. She never follows up. Doesn't seem concerned about MJ. Either that or she just doesn't want to hear about "illegal" activities.

But I'll smoke a blunt with you any day of the week. But no talking politics when partying!

I don't think all the insults and innuendo will mean anything once the "enemy" becomes the Republican nominee instead of our own.

As much as I like Bernie over Hillary - I'd rather elect Mr. Ed that Trump or Cruz.

So many good thoughtful intelligent gifted people.

I hope we can all let bygones be bygones when the primary is over and we have a nominee. No matter who it is.

Thank you for your lovely, calm post.

All I know is we all want to make American a better place. We all love our families. We have so much more in common than not.

We just disagree on how to get these things done. But it's a start. Talking is the only way we can come together, so lets start slowly backing off the nasty rhetoric. I know we are in the part of the campaign that get's people particularly agitated and prone to say some shitty things to each other - but at a minimum, let's not for get that it's politics, not personal.

The only way you can see the humanity of a person is to not demonize them. We can always politely agree to disagree.

I will keep standing up for Bernie, but I'm going to try not to direct my frustrations in a personal way towards any DUers. We're all we've got, people!!

But if Hillary wins I'll wait a week so they can get the gloating out of their systems. Being proud of what? First woman president - I told you so about Bernie, yada yada.... all that vile evil spew freeing itself from some very small people.

Other than that, I feel fine! Thank you, John Lennon:

Baby's good to me, you know
She's happy as can be, you know
She said so
I'm in love with her and I feel fine

I'm in love with her and I feel fine

I'm so glad that she's my little girl
She's so glad, she's telling all the world

That her baby buys her things, you know
He buys her diamond rings, you know
She said so
She's in love with me and I feel fine, mmm
