I live in Arizona. While the power structure in Arizona is blood-red, more-and-more...
...the population is NOT! Arizona is more purple than red or blue, and tends to be turning more to the blue side.
The Republican (Teapublican, Theopublican, CraCrapublican) powers want Arizona to stay as red as possible. They don't want any "undersirable" (Latinos, Millenials, LGBTQ) to gain any kind of power in this state.
