sorry I'm not that involved with trump to know the name of his manager, but work with me here.
In FLA you can shoot to kill someone who is walking on your property and that is ok. you can even kill someone if you feel threatened and that is ok.
What you can't do is grab a person's arm who is touching another person and that's a crime? Something is wrong here or it could be me

(18,505 posts)otherwise, not sure what is your point?
I wasn't implying anything other than shoot to kill was a crime,
Not sure how to explain my point but let me try
Zimmerman was found not guilty in a court of law for killing Trevon Martin. From my perspective he murdered that young boy/man.
I was in disbelief when the jury came back not guilty. That was a sad day for many.
Now I see a video in the same state of a man grabbing a woman's arm to pull her away from someone else and that is a crime?
yet murdering someone was not a crime?
If I haven't made my point just forget it I obviously can't make my point

(14,691 posts)it was enacted in 2005. That gave homeowners and others an excuse when they shot someone and it would be determined by LE or a court if it was justified. If not justified, that shooting would be a crime. It's not that you can shoot anyone for any reason at any time in Florida and always get away with it.
The grabbing in this case put bruises on the reporter's arm and was enough to charge Trump's campaign manager with misdemeanor assault. He grabbed her and pulled her away. He was very rough with her.
P.S. I'm not a lawyer either.

(13,783 posts)... that says it's a crime to "touch another person against their will," (I believe I'm quoting a news report correctly) then I support you. I was shocked to hear that. Talk about overkill (sic). It's scary to think you could be arrested for what I saw in that video.
This is NOT meant to support the Trump campaign. I'm a Hillary supporter. I don't know which party might be responsible for this absurd law. Maybe neither. Does anyone know if this is common across the country?

(43,209 posts)Any unwanted, offensive touching against one's will could constitute criminally culpable behavior. You don't have to be pounding someone with your fists to have it constitute a battery.
