(5,103 posts)Karma's a bitch and your backwards thinking is hurting folks with no dog in this hunt.
Along with those who do.
My list of places to visit or revisit is shrinking all the time

(8 posts)As a disappointed Ph.D. alum of "Blue Heaven" I'd like to point out that most conservative politicians in the state of North Carolina DESPISE Chapel Hill and everything associated with their "ultra-liberal" leanings. It was the infamous Jesse Helms who once claimed that North Carolina did not need a zoo if they would just put a cage around Chapel Hill. The University as a whole stands for a great deal of what we believe in on DU. Unless a great deal has changed in the last 30 years, I'm sure that the folks at UNC are horrified by what the state has been doing to their citizens.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
