I looked just like that girl on the cover of the 1957 Sears catalog
I even had a bear like that
Mom, Dad we need to talk about my contract
That year I got a Madam Alexander doll - Cissy with the pink and white striped dress - from my Mom and a set of American Plastic Bricks from my Dad
I liked the bricks better, plus he renewed the National Geo mag subscription

as well as the Spring/Summer 1976 and Fall/Winter 1977 ones. They are used as a counterweight on a top-heavy curio.

I should take some time to look through them one day. It could be entertaining.

We used to read every page of our Herter's Catalogs 'till the print wore off.
