services. Fucking awesome. My wife has a family history of depression and I do too. We have two teenage children.
Fuck you Scott Walker. You may actually succeed in killing state workers and their families this way.

(34,661 posts)we grew up in. This is what happens when your news media ends up in the hands of the Gannett Family. And I-Heart buys all the local stations.
There has always been the John Birchers lurking, never thought we would see them gain control. Wow,was I wrong.

(4,450 posts)elected the first time did I realize how bad it would get and how ruthless they were prepared to be. Growing up in a blue collar part of Milwaukee, I knew plenty of kids whose parents were proud to be Republicans. They mostly bought into the "be responsible for yourself" bit, and didn't like the longhairs who protested the war. But, these same people would be the first to show up at the door when my cop dad got hurt in a car crash while working with a week's worth of casseroles. They would pitch endless hours of batting practice to me and my two brothers when my dad worked second shift. They would pitch in and help no matter what was needed, as my (Democrat) folks would have and did do for them.
Now, it's different. That generation of Republicans is gone and we have the likes of Scott Walker, the Fitz brothers, and Robin Vos. I'd think about moving, but I'm getting to be the same stubborn old polack my dad was, and I won't give them the satisfaction.

(34,661 posts)About as anti Union as one could be and spewed the Republican line of crap until one day,low and behold,a heart attack. Remember him complaining about certain people getting all those free things and running to the free ER for things. Well long story short,he had to run to that free ER via the Free Ambulance,to get that free Pace Maker from Medtronics and talk about a change in attitude. Now he is worried his free benefits are about to get whacked by the Guy he voted for Governor.
Always funny how things and conditions change. And then there are people who still do not get it.

Where I grew up most of my friends' dads were union... Teamsters, UAW, Machinists' Union, and my dad was Steward of his local in the Police Dept. Many were also Republicans. The divide just wasn't as sharp back then.

(53,475 posts)A top aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) dismissed a complaint about conditions in a facility treating the mentally ill with the words "no one cares about crazy people."
Other top aides brought a complaint a woman's family filed against the Milwaukee county executive's office concerning her death after being treated at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex to the attention of then-Walker deputy chief of staff Kelly Rindfleisch.
The woman, Cindy Anczak, died in 2006 because of complications having to do with starvation.
Only callous assholes will work for Squat Wanker and his criminal band. Rindfleisch is one of several of Wanker's hand-picked staffers who were convicted of felonies while working for him in our government.

(36,063 posts)Until you get squared away with a provider, NAMI WI is a good place to find help when you need it.
Many states have chapters of the National Association for Mental Illness. These sites can help you find providers ... look under Support for Find Help Near You.
Generally speaking many Wisconsin providers of mental health services do so on sliding scales based on income to make access available.
Also keep in mind cheaper pharmacy sources. One of my meds for depression was on WalMarts $4 drug list...that was back in 09 so I can't speak to current prices.
