Lifehack - prevent nausea

This was such a weird idea. Keep from getting seasick or nauseous.

How? Press the inside of your wrist. For a sounder effect, just wear a rubber band on both wrists.

I know it sounds implausible, but I tried it and yes, it does work (at least for me).

It probably won't work for everybody, but let me know if you try it and your results.

Well, I'm not about to have children any time ... well, ever, but I did try it and it works.

I hope your children have as positive an outlook on life as you do (which is ironic considering you picked winter is coming).

You really are a hopeful person, and I like that about you!

Crystallized ginger is a handy form to carry around; there are several kinds of ginger candies made by The Ginger People that have enough ginger to work, too. I haven't found it prevents or cures motion sickness (it doesn't do anything for the headache or vertigo), but it does help immensely with stomach pain and nausea.

I've known about it for years, and do remember someone had at one time created a wristband with a knobby button on the inside to help people get over air-sickness.

Yes, ginger is good for nausea and digestion, as are the various mints. Here's a chart of various herbal remedies from the same page as the mints

And here's something from UCLA on the acupressure point:

Acupressure Point P6: Pericardium 6 or Nei Guan

It is oddly efficacious.

If you need to keep both hands free, try Sea-Bands. And put the little bumpy thing in the acupressure point you can find according to this: https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/patient-education/acupressure-nausea-and-vomiting

I hope you're feeling better, Aerows! Nice of you to share this idea!

what the nurse did? She tore open one of those packets that holds an alcohol wipe and waved the wipe under his nose. Nausea gone. Of course, he got put on prescription Zofran, but that was going to take a couple of hours to administer, so the nurse did the alcohol thing, and it worked.

They work.

Also for those awful leg cramps one gets sometimes when sleeping.
