Sikh Man Dragged Off Greyhound Bus, Detained By FBI For 30 Hours – Only Crime Was Wearing A Turban

http://winningdemocrats.com/sikh-man-dragged-off-greyhound-bus-detained-by-fbi-for-30-hours-only-crime-was-wearing-a-turban/

A Sikh man is rightly raising h*ll to Texas authorities and demanding that action be taken after he was dragged off of a Greyhound bus and spent the next 30 hours being questioned by the Amarillo authorities for committing no other crime than wearing a turban and speaking a language other than English....

Daljeet Singh and Mohammed Chotri were arrested after another passenger on the Greyhound bus they were traveling on falsely reported that she heard them say the word “bomb” numerous times. Via Amarillo Globe News

Shortly after the bus pulled out of Amarillo, two other men on the bus restrained Singh in his seat until police showed up. Officers dragged Singh and Chotri, who had also been recently released from an immigration holding center, off of the bus....

A bomb squad was called to check the bus and a portion of Interstate 40 was closed down. Both men were detained in Amarillo and questioned by authorities for 30 hours before they were finally released after they were interviewed by the FBI. No charges were filed against either of them.

Another minority Indian religion. Jains wear masks over their mouths to avoid accidentally breathing in insects.

Either way.

The measure is how one acts to ones fellow humans, no matter who they are. Religion is no excuse to act otherwise.

Maj. General M. Khan of Pakistan wrote in his book 'Crisis of Leadership' about the bravery of the Sikh soldiers during the Indo-Pak war.

Here are some excerpts from the book:

"the main reason of our defeat was Sikhs fighting facing us. We were helpless to do anything in front of them. Sikhs are very brave and they have a great craving for martyrdom. They fight so fiercely that they are capable of defeating an army many times bigger than theirs."

"Alas, a handful of Sikhs converted our great victory into a big defeat and shattered our confidence and courage. ."

10. Though India did not send troops to the Korean War..........

they did give humanitarian assistance. My Dad a Korean War vet, said that he met a few Indians while in Seoul and in Japan, he said they were a fine a person as he had ever met.

My Dad did admire the Turks as a fighting force. When he was in Shanghai after WWII he would be put on Shore Patrol (he was in the Marines) and would be ecstatic when he knew he would be on duty alongside the Turks. He said the Turks were all over 6' tall didn't carry a firearm, just their samovar and when they would open the door to a bar, everyone would see the Turks and just hightail it.

He met a few Turks while in Korea, and he was happy to see them.

And I hope they detain them for thirty hours in their investigation.

15. The linked article's headline appears to be unfair to the FBI.

The text of the article doesn't support the charge that the FBI detained him for 30 hours. It appears that most of the detention time was at the instance of the local yokel cops (not a very high intelligence standard for LEOs in Texas, it seems). The FBI came into the picture sometime after the initial detention and interviewed both men, after which they were released. I'd hazard a guess that it was pretty soon after.

Probably the FBI agents showed up, asked a few basic questions, rolled their eyes at the stupidity of the Texas cops, and advised that the men should be released. The Texas cops, provided with the cover of following an FBI recommendation in case any of the local rednecks tried to second-guess their action, then released the men.
