Today's nature pix. Courage Lyrics: http://www.metrolyrics.com/courage-lyrics-wizard-of-oz.html

The male turkey is outside the fence. He actually pecks through the fence to eat. The poor squirrel just doesn't have the courage to defend his feeder from the turkey. But he made a hell of a lot of noise. You can see him in the shadow at the top of the photo.

Not everybody is happy about having turkeys in the neighborhood.

There is a second hard to see male on the left behind a shrub. They leave their calling cards all over the yard...if you know what I mean.

I get more comments on the Pileated Woodpecker photos than any other photos. Here is a good shot taken today. You can see the red stripe on his face that tells us he is a male. I'm sorry about the watermark. But since some of our pix ended up for sale locally without our knowledge, we started doing this on the really good pix.

Turkeys are wonderful as well as Pileated Woodpeckers! They are very big birds so leaving can be troublesome. Wonderful pictures!
