The reason I want Trumpy to win in Indiana is

Ted Cruz is a billion times worse.

Im afraid that Cruz will play every dirty trick in the book against Clinton.

I think Clinton will wipe the floor with Trump in a general, no matter how
much his advisors tell him to change, Trumpy wont be able to help himself.

Bush used the religious right like a sex toy. Cruz will be a crusader for God.

True believers scare the shit out of me.

A Cruz nomination you could write off as another Goldwater - the far right of the party gained the upper hand in the primaries and nominated someone who was totally unelectable but who at least had legitimate credentials. Trump on the other hand makes the whole party look totally unserious - this isn't zealotry, this is just full blown idioacy

I can think of a few Senators that aren't qualified for the job of President. Ted is among them.

because he is a bat shit loon.
But as far as credentials, his political position gives him the same status as any sitting Senator.
Especially compared to Trump, who has no credentials as far as working in Government.

Senator, played the Joe Arpaio card, this made my decision. He caused a lot of waste reading DR Seuss books, a bad person. Hopefully we can kick his butt out of office next time.

The GOP, if there's a brokered election, will fall back on some "safe" choice.

A Cruz win in Indiana simply ups the chances things will get cloudy in Cleveland. I want that convention to be a motherfucker.

How? That question stumps Trump. Both Hillary and Bernie have a lot of experience in politics and know how government works. Cruz has an idea too. The three letter question will kill the Donald because he can't answer it. In any debate, all the Democratic candidate running against Trump has to to is state a reasonable solution, then ask him HOW he would approach the issue. He'll lose it on camera.

"Im afraid that Cruz will play every dirty trick in the book against Clinton."

And Trump won't?

Seriously?

You seem to be forgetting the fact that Trump is wiping the floor with Cruz at the moment. And he'll happily destroy Clinton just as viciously.

Folks who assume otherwise will be in for a nasty surprise.

She may have the "women card", but he'll be parading women who work for him around.

This is going to be one hell of a GE if trump wins today

15. i just don't see Trump being able to compete in the GE...

May 2016

He has a rabid base among republicans and right leaning independents. But it stops there. He will win the deep red states on the GE. The Dem nominee will win the deeply blue states. If you assume each swing state is approx 50/50 right/left, Trump will get his half of the right (25% of the total), and a % of the remaining 25% that can tolerate him. The Dem nominee will get their 25% of the left block, plus a % of the remainder.

So the question really comes down to whether the supporters of the primary losers in each party rally to the winner. As contentious as the Dem primary has been, I simply can't see the republicans rallying to Trump as strongly as the Dems will rally to either Clinton or Sanders. There is a genuine fear/hatred between the republican supporters, and that won't go away during the convention or in the months leading up to the GE.

I know this is a simplistic view, but I think overall it's predictive. They just will not be able to muster the numbers - especially among women and minorities.

There is a good reason the GOP leadership is terrified of Trump as the nominee. They can read the demographics and Trump is a disaster in the General. He plays well with stupid republicans but there aren't enough of them to win.

Cruz doesn't get the attention, but he is much worse than Trump.

Also, Trump has no chance to win a General Election.
