If Indiana Gets Its Way In Purvi Case, All Women Will Have To Defend Any Early Ended Pregnancy.

The Purvi case in Indiana where a woman was sentenced to 20 years for "feticide" after her pregnancy ended prematurely. She claims she had a miscarriage but the state contends she deliberately ended her pregnancy. There is no clear indication that such was the case.

So now that Indiana has taken this step other states will probably follow. In the end a woman will have to prove that the end of a pregnancy was NOT her fault. And women will face jail every time there is a miscarriage. This prison sentence is the first step in taking a woman's health care rights away completely.

An aggressive DA wanting to make a reputation could start filing all kinds of spurious charges in this area. The government itseld would effectively be the monitor and observer for all pregnancies. It would be like a traffic cop following you around in your car waiting for you to make a mistake.

Every day a new approach to persecuting women comes to light.

to receive abortion care? I'd gladly donate what little I can to it. This shit of persecuting women is getting totally out of hand.

I was told by a nurse that there were often waves of them (many happening at once). An environmental influence? Coincidence? Who knows, but I sincerely hope they do not start prosecuting women who have just been through that traumatic experience!
