I was relating to the heartfelt emotion at the end of Larry's set.

Did you watch it, or just turn on your fake race to post? It was one of the bravest bits I have ever seen, he did not play to the audience, he fucking lectured them. Also he did not use the "N" word, he used a derivation of it to show solidarity with Obama when he hugged him...it was not for a laugh.

between the two men. Something we in the audience could only be on the outside looking in on them and that shortened version on that word just highlighted that. I thought it was great. The USA has changed enormously since Obama was first elected President. We only know the tip of the iceberg of what Obama and his peeps have been up to in the last 8 years in terms of a shift in power towards those who have been undermined for hundreds of years. I don't think Larry meant it to be something white people would totally get. And that is the point. White people don't get it all anymore. It is no longer all about them. A great moment of Obama's presidency it was. My next favorite part of the WHCD was when Obama called money 'Tubmans'. That being said I did turn Larry off because he was too critical at the start of his speech and I could not watch or enjoy it.
