NYPD officer adopts kitten she helped rescue from abandoned suitcase in Williamsburg

Source: PIX 11, MAY 3, 2016

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — The same NYPD officer who helped rescue seven kittens abandoned in a suitcase has adopted one herself.

NYPD officer Nicole Piridis from the 90th Precinct got to take home Dmitry, a 3-month-old kitten from the group. Piridis does not have any other pets and has renamed him “Apollo.”
