Why would he open himself up to certain demolishment? Foot-dragging would be a typical tactic for him, maintained as long as possible. Whether against Clinton or Sanders, he would be (is) nothing more than a joke.

The funny thing is, after Clinton agreed with every single debate with Sanders (even as the DNC tried to minimize the number of debates they had), she can and will very likely use that to her advantage.

"I'll debate you any time any where," type of thing.

So Trump dodging a debate will be very bad.

... that he'll find some excuse to avoid debating Hillary. I will not be surprised if there end up being no debates at all in the fall campaign.
