bringing about the end-times. That is, the destruction of the effing planet. You and me and all we hold dear. The lives and futures of all on this world.

This is a fairly good reminder of what it means.

On the other hand, hedonist Trump doesn't want the world to end but is too lazy to figure out how to help it. And with his lack of attention, the world is at perilous risk.

Go Bernie!!!

with people who, right out front, declared they would go to Washington to bring down the government.
They have succeeded and now the fright wing is terrified of their own choices and are still blaming everyone except themselves.
The GOP is actually the party of zero responsibility.

Pompous and badly groomed. Keeps a ledger. And in a general snit fit about a woman, he's willing to destroy the whole world.

I think you nailed it.

More or less every other speech he gives could have been given by Trump or Cruz.

The sad fact is that there's a significant portion of the US population that has never gotten over the end of segregation.

There were hints of the kind of extreme partisanship we see today during the Reagan years, and Republicans acted like children during the Clinton administration. This brew has been fermenting for decades.

(Not disagreeing with what Mr. King said - just raising a pedantic point.)
