I'm certainly no fan of McCain - I don't believe he was the rational one in the crazies that we often saw him portrayed as in the media, but I've been interested in watching children from older pols to see how they're shaping up since they indicate the future of their party since most do tend to stay in it.

The nature of the Republican party is changing in a lot of bad ways, hullo Trump, but there's also this that helps to push back some - and should be encouraged. The strength of Democracy is in two (and more) parties and ways of thinking to come together for the greater good.
