http://mediamatters.org/blog/2016/05/04/why-nbc-nightly-news-broadcasting-trump-tower/210236NBC Nightly News will be anchored tonight from Trump Tower, where Lestor Holt will interview Donald Trump, in the latest example of how the television news media has bent over backwards to accommodate the presumptive GOP nominee. Its unclear why NBC News would go to Trumps office instead of demanding that he travel the half-mile south to their studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

Again, I am reminded of the joke last weekend at the WHCD: Morning Joke and MS/NBC have their heads so far up Trumps' *ss they bumped into Chris Christie.

(3,447 posts)The establishment media is broken. It will try to repair itself back into Frankenstein, but for now it's hobbled. I hope to see them further humbled. I'm talking Nebuchadnezzar levels of humiliation here. 'Demand', indeed.
It is time they learn once and for all that their job is NOT to attempt to control people, people's choices, people's vote, people's cultures, or any of the other illusions they present as reality. They are the ENEMY of the people at the moment, but they can be reforged into something useful. But at no point should they not be painfully aware that their days are numbered (in a metaphorical sense, of course), so that those who still retain some small amount of humanity might attempt to reconcile themselves with reality. It's unfortunate that it is Trump who is doing this instead of Bernie, but progress is progress.

(82,849 posts)NBC has been very accommodating for Trump, allowing him to "appear" by phone any number of times on their various programs. Chucktodd has vowed that he won't let Trump do that anymore on Meet the Press, but we'll see how durable that promise is for NBC's former employee. So I guess just moving a broadcast studio to Trump is sort of a step up, looked at in the right light and if you squint real hard.
