He's mentally unstable and very impulsive. Nobody is able to rein him in.

He's been running his campaign as if he expected being President is like being a certain type of president/CEO, where all he has to do is sign off on decisions made by flunkies who are team employees looking out for profitability of the business, rather than a diplomatic strategist that has to actually shape policy and take responsibility for that policy, surrounded by political rivals, a recalcitrant congress, lobbyists, and embedded bureaucrats.
If he's more intellectually lazy than simplistically stupid, he'd be scared shitless once he actually realizes the size and scope of the organization his ego has gotten himself into.
And all his opponents who are used to the way the game is supposed to be played have just bailed. There's no one for him to dump this toxic property on to, retaining the naming rights; no bankruptcy court to discharge his responsibilities to. He's stuck going forward, and unlike another celebrity who got over his head thinking he could govern by simple declarations and everyone would jump, there's no spouse with legitimate political connections he can leverage for support.

Delicious if the situation wasn't affecting so many millions of people, the world economy, and frankly, future of our planet. The style of "leadership" he practices is not suitable for sustainability, and from his business history, it's pretty obvious he's self-aware enough to know how far he can play being the king before someone is going to call him on it - because he's always long gone before his house of cards explodes in his investor's faces. His "reputation" is his stock in trade and the source of his millions (most of his money is from the royalties and licensing of his name), not anything he actually accomplishes or produces.

I'd be more interested on who is picked as his VP. Cruz would be "impeachment insurance", so long the evangelical wingnut machine didn't coax a right wing coup to put Cruz in power.
I suspect Paul Ryan for VP again, he's the GOP's golden boy - and I suspect if a Trump/Ryan ticket makes it to the White House, within two years, Trump will be out of office, and we'll have Prez-I-Don't Ryan, cutting the last strands of the social safety net as a blind eye is turned to GOP voter disenfranchisement and gerrymandering, pretty much ensuring Karl Rove's wet dream can be realized.

Bread and Circuses, anyone?

"Listen to me, this is yuge, America is going to be great again, if I'm president we'll be as nifty as the alien swinger club at Area 51... oh right, well, vote for me!"
