He's won state after state but, except for a few simple minded parroting of his talking points (He's going to build a WALL!) I can't find a single article, liberal or conservative, that argues reasons why he's a good choice.
It's bizarre.

(5,902 posts)Remember when a lot of Republicans were trying to have the courts reinterpret the 'natural-born' clause in the Constitution to allow him to run?
At least now we know where little Rafael got the idea.

It's how he began his campaign and it plays into his narrative
I never figured he'd be able to carry it off this long
I don't think it'll carry him to the White House... He's too polarizing a figure
But, I didn't think it would carry him to teh Republican nomination either

It's just plain depressing.

'Hail Emperor Trump!' White Nationalists Take Victory Lap Following Trump Win
Submitted by Peter Montgomery on Wednesday, 5/4/2016 3:21 pm
Donald Trumps presidential campaign has been energizing and electrifying white supremacists, and their excitement is hitting new highs now that he is clearly the Republican Partys presumptive nominee.
The neo-Nazi site Daily Stormer, which endorsed Trump two weeks after his immigrant-disparaging campaign launch, is filled with posts celebrating the GOP candidates victory this morning. White men in America and across the planet are partying like its 1999 following Trumps decisive victory over the evil enemies of our race, says one post, which also celebrates that [t]he Jews are in full-on freak-out mode.
The site is also promoting a video parody in which Trump and other political figures are spliced into clips from the movie 300 and Trump is portrayed as leading an army of the White race against the barbarian hordes. Daily Stormer is also glad that Trump helped move his ally Alex Jones from tinfoil goofiness and into nationalism.
Does this qualify?
For the record, I just could not click on any of the links provided by the WRW article.
If I did, I'd have to shower for days...(shudder)...

(18,613 posts)What's bizarre is that he's won the nomination without anyone with any intelligence supporting him. It's like the GOP is overrun with a massive amount of ignorant, low IQ rubes and they now run the show instead of the educated politicians who theoretically use reason over emotion to make decisions. (Theoretically is the operative word here.) Of course the amount of educated politicians have been dwindling on that side of the aisle in recent years.
