Claims that former Malheur Refuge occupiers Ammon and Ryan Bundy are losing weight while in jail, don’t match with official paperwork ... Lisa Sundloff Bundy posted on Facebook ... “I could tell that they were not being properly fed” ... Ammon Bundy’s attorney, Mike Arnold, also insisted at a court hearing Wednesday that the pair appeared “emaciated” ... Multnomah County jail booking information shows the brothers have gained 10 and 20 pounds ...

18. The food is bland and unpalatable? Poor things! Somehow every other prisoner survives on it.

Several decades back, the Oregon State Penitentiar developed a solution for inmates who threw food in the mess hall, or excrement from their cells. They called it 'Nutraloaf.' They took all of a day's food allotment for the inmate, ground it up together, baked it for a couple hours and voila'! The words 'shit a brick' took on new meaning.

The program attracted much attention before it withered away.

Jail food is terrible. Besides saving money, it's an advantage to keep prisoners undernourished and weak.

these are exactly the types of people that fully supported Arizona's 'Sheriff Joe' (Arpaio) using Nutraloaf as prison food.

While its use has been banned in several states good ol' Sheriff Joe managed to get it declared proper for use in Arizona.
