The tabby is male, the Siamese is female, about six weeks old. Took them to the vet because their eyes were a little goopy, so they're on topical antibiotics, but their lungs are good and no fever, so nothing serious with them...pretty dirty but getting cleaner. There is also a sibling (all black) I need to nab, but he is wary so far. They were in one of the underground tunnels in the park, and there's no way to get them unless they come out. Hoping the black one gets braver soon.
Will try to get them adopted out...so if there's any interest or know of anyone, please pm me...thanks.

(17,505 posts)I can doubt that. There are so many feral cats everywhere, there are also kittens everywhere. But y'know... there are so many feral cats everywhere because people dump them in the park....so....

(108,973 posts)Wouldn't feral cats breed indiscriminately and not come out looking like a particular breed?

(12,232 posts)She was from a litter that included all black and mixed calico siblings.
I miss her very much.
If I were closer, I would scoop that little kitten up!

(17,505 posts)The catlings from one litter can have different fathers.
TRAMPS!

(17,505 posts)I bet if you look at the adult and things like the shape of it's head, it's size, the sounds it makes.... you will find that it's just part Siamese, and is really just a mostly domestic shorthair with Siamese points and eyes.

(9,962 posts)But there is probably considerable Siamese in both parents. Also, as another poster pointed out, the momcats can be quite promiscuous while in heat. So either or both factors can account for the mixed appearance of the litter. I forget now whether the Siamese points are recessive or dominant (it's been a long time since I raised show cats, but I used to have to know a lot of that) although I think they're recessive.

(51,907 posts)One of the enzymes quits functioning at higher temperatures; therefore the color expresses itself only in the cooler parts of the cat's body--ears,, paws and tail.

(17,505 posts).... but I'd love a cat with points and blue eyes! She is so beautiful!
But if I brought a catling (the old word for kitten.... I'm trying to revive it) home, my big cat Stonewall would have a fit and pee on everything I own!

(10,493 posts)Nothing cuter. That's where my little snickers hung out every morning while I got ready for work. Silly cat learned how to turn on/off the sink to get himself water as a result. Loved that kitty. Hope these sweeties find loving homes.

(2,570 posts)And I am sure that
You know how important it
Is to get them fixed at
Around 2 Pounds.
I was shocked to hear the statistic that 1 Mama Cat and her offspring will result in 500,000 more felines in just 7 yeasts. Half
A million!
It is crazy.
They are adorable!

(1 post)I reside on the outskirts of town where people dump their unwanted cats. After gaining her trust, I brought into my home one, extremely pregnant and aloof cat, and now I am blessed by the mother and her five kittens as part of my family. Though I have neutered/spayed several feral cats, more keep coming. Even a very young feral kitten will dash and hide from humans, it is a part of their necessary instincts to survive. But then, also by instinct, they intuitively know who mean them no harm. And that, joeybee12, is indeed a true honor. Good on you!

(60,010 posts)or are you?
We had to let our beloved 15 year cat go a couple of weeks ago and I am really hungering for a new one.
Mr. Dixie says it is "too soon"
yeah...for HIM, maybe.
I got him to agree if a cat shows up at our door ( happens from time to time) he will accept the universe is providing us with a new fur kid.
PS: just leave them in a box, ring the doorbell, and scoot off!

(205,151 posts)I just hope that you can catch the little black one! I worry most about the little black ones... And three of the four cats I have had have been black, the last two I also rescued from outdoors. Thank you so much for all you do for the kitties...
From Felix, too...
