A Puppy Mill Mother On the Road to Healing (trigger warning!)

Marta and I adopted our Sweetie from Hearts United with a broken leg years ago. She still shakes and hides from strangers.

They can make a lot of money that way.

I wish there was some way to end the puppy mills but there doesn't seem to be. There is way too much money involved.

Pet land here in the KC area sells their puppy mill puppies for anywhere from $1500 to $5,000 dollars.

People just don't want to wait to get a really nice puppy from a good breeder.
