Trump calls for an END to the Federal Minimum Wage.

In other words, not $15.

Not $12.

Not even $7.25, the current minimum.

But $0.0

How's that for throwing the difference between the parties into stark relief?

P.S. And he won't pledge to EVER release his taxes, though Hillary has released 30+ years.

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/may/08/federal-minimum-wage-trump

Donald Trump has called for the elimination of the federal minimum wage, as he retreated from primary promises and once again refused to release his tax returns because of “a link” to an audit.

The presumptive Republican nominee for president repeatedly said he would support a higher minimum wage, a reversal from his position when he had conservative opponents. But he insisted on Sunday that states should decide such wages.

“I like the idea of ‘let the states decide’,” Trump told NBC’s Meet the Press. “But I think people should get more. I think they’re out there. They’re working. It is a very low number.”

Asked “should the federal government set a floor” – a national minimum wage – Trump replied: “No, I’d rather have the states go out and do what they have to do.

“And the states compete with each other, not only other countries, but they compete with each other.”

He's not a whole man, and imagining he could meet normal standards if he chose is a profound misunderstanding.

I always suspected he didn't want the JOB of president. His thought processes are so weird that one can't assume that is what this is about, though. However, although he is truly astonishingly ignorant and his judgement severely impaired by his disorder, he's not so stupid he can't understand the effect his positions will have on his support--or not. Will his followers see it as an attack on minorities, or a way of sticking it to us? I don't understand what goes on in their minds either.

They just want someone honest who represents the people (the middle class and the poor) and not the corporations, banks and wealthy elite...and are not into global imperialism and believe that the planet is worth saving.

Those are all extremely important issues that the global elite seem to think they can find work-arounds for...but they really can't. It's not purism, but an instinct to fight for life.

Jesus - a year has passed since my decision not to vote for her. I'm not going to bother with my reasons because I suspect if someone smuggled out of Goldman Sachs a fully authenticated contract in which she pledged lifelong loyalty to the company, her supporters would consider it a sign of her skill at making 'connections.'

During that year, Hillary Clinton and her campaign have had many opportunities to convince me that I might be mis-evaluating her positions, history, probable agenda, etc., and get my vote.

They never even came close. And your comments are utter bullshit. I want a Democrat who is concerned about the shift of the party away from its 20th-century egalitarian tradition toward its modern role of a well-organized and efficient marketplace in which political influence among global financial, military and media interests who have no national loyalties is traded for personal and career enrichment.

I believe that Hillary and Bill Clinton are among the very best brokers between politicians and these multinational power structures. I'd really like to be wrong, but everything I've seen during the past year's campaigning has only affirmed what I already believed.

No one who comes close to the office of the Presidency is in any way 'pure.' But I won't vote for adepts of the very system that I believe is devouring our former, somewhat functional, republic.

Hell, his speeches from 2015 have a lot of this. More "surprises..." He will dissolve most federal agencies, will restructure US debt and decrease federal spending in education. In fact kiss common coregoidbye,as well as funding of public education at all levels federally.

A few other he has already gone into in recent speeches. But seriously, this is not surprising. It takes reading, and chiefly believing him. For the record, some stuff, like planned parenthood, except for abortions,he intends to leave alone.

People will be less surprised if they curl up to the crap, as scary reading as it is

hmmm, let's see;

Hillary will encourage outsourcing. I will have the lovely privilege of competing against workers that don't have to pay U.S. taxes, benefits or infrastructure. Trump; he will discourage outsourcing (or so he claims) and leave the min wage issue up to the states.

Question, what good is arguing over a minimum wage when all of the jobs are being outsourced? The Democratic party needs to justify their existence or lose progressive support. I refuse to play this stupid game of voting for the lesser of two evils. Hillary and Trump are shit options.

Gets repeated here often but makes no sense other than as a fantasy by an individual who wants to pretend he's uniquely virtuous.

Life is almost nothing but choices between lesser evils. We rarely get black and white decisions. Even among Bernieism there are the same choices. For example, we have single payer healthcare. Taxes would go up on the poor and working classes to pay for it, but Bernieists still want it. That's because they believe the good would outweigh the bad. That's the lesser of two evils.

See, its not that hard to participate in the real world.
