Trump: Men Today "Are Petrified To Speak To Women Anymore," "Women Get It Better Than We Do, Folks"

The amazing thing is that Trump's message resonates so strongly with such a large segment of the Republican base. They could have picked Jeb, Kasich. Rubio, Christie, etc. If they wanted to go crazy right, they could have gone with Cruz. But, the Republican base decided to go with Trump.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/05/08/trump_remember_this_when_you_see_hillarys_phony_paid-for-by-wall_street_ads.html

"They've already taken $90 million worth of ads," he said. "And their ads are all woman-oriented. You know she is playing the women's card... She's going: Did you know that Donald Trump raised his voice when speaking to a woman? Oh, I'm sorry."

"I mean. All of the men, we're petrified to speak to women anymore. We may raise our voice," he said. "You know what? The women get it better than we do folks. They get it better than we do. If she didn't play that card, she has nothing."

"Now she's going to buy $90 million worth of ads about Donald Trump -- And that's only the first go. They've go $2 billion. They could have $2 billion to spend. They're going to spend $90 million on bad ads about me, having to do with women. There is nobody who respects women more than I do," he said.

"They're taking $90 million dollars worth of phony ads --and some of [the things quoted by the ads] were said for entertainment purposes, one of them was said, like, on The Apprentice... We're living in the real world. This political correctness is killing our country."

No need to hide her gender. I always thought one of the biggest mistakes Democrats made in the 1990s was to run away from the label of liberal when Republicans tried to wield it as something to be ashamed of. I think it would be a mistake for Hillary to act as thought she was genderless or that we are in some post-gender society.

She is a woman, why deny it? It is time women's issues should be front and center, why deny it?

This stuff is like white fragility, but male fragility. Now that's sad.

The rest of us found it amusing. She was basically making fun of Trump. A sense of humor is a great thing, you know. Try it.

The quote in the subject line is bizarre. I was hoping the full quote would shed some light, but I guess I have to remember this is a Trump quote, so it doesn't need to make any sense at all.

This may not be an exact quote of Donald but his conservative white base hears it just the same.

I have no trouble talking to women as long as we treat each other with civility and respect. He isn't mourning communication; he's mourning the loss of his demographic dominance and the subservience that is his due.

I'm not petrified to speak to women. None of my male friends are either. This seems to just be a Trump problem.

All of the men, we're petrified to speak to women anymore.

Could someone tell my husband? I'm getting irked by his "Are you doing the right thing or the wrong thing?" before I leave the house question.

Also - I would have liked him to be afraid to talk when I locked us out of the house that one time.

And when he listens to Donald Trump on t.v. (he's always on - ALWAYS! ) I'd like to not hear the diatribe against the *bunch of cuss words in Italian fascist Trump*.

I'm doing something wrong.

HOW???? How does one get me to stop talking to them? Please - it would be a blessing to know.
