Do Rank & File Repug Voters Mistake Corporatism For....

what they call big government? This thought came to me the other day after I spoke to a staunch Repug friend. Can't remember what he actually said but it caused me to think he was confused.

Corporatism and capitalism? Corporatism IS capitalism in it's purest form, yet I see a LOT of people on all parts of the center spectrum decry "corporatism" and think it's different than capitalism.

5. Let Me Add This To This Topic - What Do Repugs Mean When They Use The Term "Big Government"?...

What is their definition of "Big Government" and again - how do the rank an file Repug voters interpret that?

My feeling is that 'the government' is there to protect us and the country. Why do the rank and file Repug voters not want that protection? What do they see as the negatives?

Now I can see that the Koch Bros use 'big government' as a negative because it might cut into their profits. So let's say they say they want to eliminate the EPA. The EPA is there to protect us and the environment. How is it that the rank and file Repug voter embraces 'eliminating the EPA' when the actual motivation for that is from a corporation that just wants to make money. How come the rank and file Repug voter goes along with that when it is actually detrimental to themselves, their family and the American People collectively? How is it the the Repug Party - embraces that mantra of eliminating 'big government' (in the example - the EPA) and convinces the rank and file Repug voter to go along with that?

If Trump has proven anything it it's that policy really doesn't matter to the rank-and-file. Raise taxes on the rich or not, used to support Planned Parenthood an still may, doesn't give a damn about the sanctity of marriage. None of this matters.

That's why his candidacy is so valuable. It pulls the mask off the base of their party. Just give them a big dose of racism, Xenophobia and misogyny and everything else is good
