Romney never did release his full returns, except for his 2011 return, and Harry Reid was never proven wrong when he said that Mitt hadn't paid taxes for ten years. Romney released a 20-year "average summary" to cover up that enormous gap.

The importance of releasing only the 2011 returns is that Romney almost certainly took the offered taxpayer amnesty in 2010, which is why Reid could blast him with impunity and why Romney to this day won't dare talk about it.

Then Romney, being a shameless sociopath, had the chutzpah to direct the same accusation against Trump, because of course he's angling to steal the nomination again, which would be A-OK with all of us, I am sure.

The important thing to know about all these clowns is that they know that Republican voters are infinitely forgiving of hypocrisy--don't even notice it, even--when the hypocrisy works in their favor. So honesty, consistency, and factual correctness don't mean crap in Republican Wolkenkuckucksheim, so long as conservatives trust you.

Thing is, they never trusted Romney, and that's why he got his ass beat.
