Sometimes I can't understand some of the posts here, some of the subtleties or opinions. I respect everyone's thoughts. We are all entitled to our leanings but to be a woman is not, in my mind, a major qualification. I'd love to see a woman president, we all support an equal opportunity, no matter what gender. It is the platform, --or lack there of-- that is important. Not the chromosomes.

but it is an assumption and any attempt to break it is attacked - race (Obama) or gender (Hillary).
Back in the day was only white Protestant men allowed.

Any race, creed, color, religion,-- whatever-- does not matter to me. What I care about is the message. My support of any candidate will depend of position. I expect whoever is elected to try and fulfill their stance. My decision will depend on what is said, not gender. The whole Catholic/Protestant thing is long gone. Now it seems gender is the big issue. This should not be.

No matter what is said by any candidate, we have to take it on faith that they mean to keep their position. I have questions in this regard. Maybe it is the candidate, maybe it is the knowledge that congress will screw up any good proposals, no matter who puts forward any real alternative to our current mess.
