Another day another beating by the cops on a guy who was surrendering

This crap needs to end... I'm sure the words "stop resisting" were being yelled as the 6 cops were pummeling him with batons, fists, and feet. He was light skinned, so at least the cops beat him according to the contents of his character??

NASHUA, N.H. (CBS) – A police chase that began in Massachusetts ended in New Hampshire as several officers jumped on the driver and took him into custody.

At about 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Holden police officers attempted to stop a pickup truck operated by 50-year-old Richard Simone of Worcester. Simone is known to police and is the subject of several warrants. He refused to stop for officers and a pursuit began.

Local police and Massachusetts State Police followed Simone into Nashua, NH. He was arrested by Nashua Police on Hughey Street about an hour after the chase began.

At the end of the chase, the driver can be seen stepping out of the truck and going to the ground.

Police officers then move in on Simone, and several appear to throw punches and use their knees to subdue the him.

ff down playing the whole thing.

"Police officers then move in on Simone, and several appear to throw punches and use their knees to subdue the him."

Yea, they obviously threw punches. A lot of punches. I don't know if I'm more surprised the one K9 officer held back the dog from getting in on the action or that this reporter didn't include it as a high lite of how well the cops handled the situation.

It seems like it happened less than 48 hours ago. Decisions like that usually take longer to be made, but I don't know

Given the Governor's of both MA & NH are expressing displeasure at the actions of the police, I don't see this getting swept under the carpet this time.

Would you prefer they don't get punished for beating someone based on skin color?

White cops get away with assaulting POC all the time. They fucking shoot people and get away with it. The victim, in this case, is white and at least the NH cop has been fired. Would the same have happened if the victim was black? Current conditions say probably not. I think you perhaps missed my point. All the shitty cops should be punished.

Which is why I was confused with the wording of your statement. Punish them any cop who abuses power, no matter who they abuse.

It's actually common. What's uncommon is that it is filmed.
