Who should we blame if Trump is elected President?

Assuming that rational people would consider him a dangerous choice for America.

It would be cool if DU's software gave the person constructing the poll a choice between radio buttons and buttons capable of accepting multiple answers.

A) The utter dumbshits who voted for him. In catechism terms a mortal sin of commission.

B) The enabling quisling dumbshits who opposed him but didn't vote for the person with the best practical chance of stopping him (in the absence of a surprise Ventura-like 3rd party run, that would be the Dem nominee whosoever that becomes). A sin of omission, but still mortal in my catechism.

There is as little excuse for B as for A. I don't care if it's anti-Clinton PUMA tantrums or anti-Sanders PUMA tantrums, or Naderite they're the same insanity or 3rd party time wasting or even just I can't be arsed Cartman-level "screw you guys I'm staying home" petulance. If you know what Trump is and don't vote for somebody with a viable chance at 270 EV against him on Nov 8th, you broke it it's your fault and you own it. Reasons don't matter.

They have the power to deny trump the white house. No one should be naive about his campaign of hate.

people that don't vote. Historically, if people came out to vote in numbers, the Democratic Party would never lose. So if Trump wins, it's because Democrats didn't vote.

if she lost, it would be her fault. I mean, the media and Democratic talking heads all kept saying how easy Trump would be to beat, and that Hillary is going to win in a landslide, etc. etc. so, any loss would be laid at her feet...

Because the only way Trump gets elected will be through widespread, systemic, election fraud coordinated among a huge (or should I say "yuuuge"?) number of precincts, districts and states.

They've been grooming their voters for a candidate like Trump for decades now. Trump is Republican bigotry uncensored

Right Wing Radio and FOX News have been very effective in the relentless dissemination of lies designed to convince people to vote against their own interests and hate everything not Republican. A lot of people are susceptible to that sort of thing, apparently.

I have no words of wisdom. I think we should all be working as hard as we can to unify our party and beat him. But reading DU, makes that very unlikely. So much hate and negativity here, it's like people are doing the Republicans work for them.

Then there is the media, Sanders and Clinton get about a quarter of the air time compared to Trump. If he sneezes, they run to cover it. They never question him, even when they know he is lying, it's like they are afraid to "offend" their viewers. He brings in the ratings, and that's what counts.

One of my neighbor loves Trump. Why? "Because he isn't boring, and none of these politicians will get you what your really want, anyway, might as well have some fun" Also "he has a hot wife." Try arguing with that guy...nothing works.

I don't know what has happened to society in general. I can understand politics may be boring. I can understand people are tired of broken promises. But I can't see how they think America is as bad, or even worse, as it was before 2008.

Nor can I understand how someone like Trump who spews so much hate and bigotry, has such great appeal, it's like we are seeing the worst of us, come out. And it's sad. People are so impressed with him. They want to be like him. If you are rich and nasty and vicious, and want to step on people, you are a success. I think of Mike Bloomberg, who is far richer, and more successful then Trump, but he wasn't a "promoter", he didn't sell himself, just his ideas.

So I come here, looking for hope that we have a chance of beating this creep. And I get more depressed reading all the nastiness and division, I see here. Hope it will change, but who knows. Seems doubtful.

So I guess it's a combination of many things, if Trump wins. The one thing, and the only thing I do know for certain, is that I will try and work hard for Democratic party, and I'm voting blue, come November.
