It's far too soon to tell, though, if these spasms of actual questions will actually take hold throughout the media ecosystem. But there have been a few reporters asking Trump specific questions about his public pronouncements. So far, Trump has deflected most of them, but a couple of reporters have even persisted, which appears to rankle the candidate no end.

Time will tell, but as far as the past has been prologue, I'm not particularly sanguine.
