Daughter of Nevada standoff defendant hopes for pretrial release

BOISE -- Chelsea Hamel is frustrated that her father, Orville Scott Drexler, 44, is still behind bars.

Drexler is one of four Idahoans indicted for their roles in a 2014 clash with the Bureau of Land Management near Cliven Bundy's ranch in Nevada ...

In the indictment, Drexler is referred to as a gunman who threatened, impeded, intimidated, interfered with, assaulted and extorted federal law enforcement officers. He is facing .. serious charges and if convicted, could spend the rest of his life in prison ...

A representative for the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada declined to comment ...

4. If she'll miss that criminal so much, bunk her in the next cell. Criminals find jail inconveniant...

whats so new about that? Why haven't his militia cronies or the Bundys come up with a little bail money?

5. Family should be another incentive for someone to avoid criminal activity.

Family should not be used as extenuating circumstances to reduce penalties.
