Newsflash: Michael Moore suggested to Bill Maher, at this very minute

in answer to the question Bill posed: "What are we going to do to take down Donald Trump"
It's simple, said Michael,
"you and I are going to take down Donald Trump together".

Bill was stunned a second, and then I think they even shook on it, and Bill said: "You tell me where and what, and I will be there".

That sounds like a holy alliance to me. I am, as you all probably know, extremely fond and appreciative of both these men.

I believe in self responsibilty, and we get what we make happen.
BUT, I envy you having that Senator.

Mine are Richard Burr and Thom somebody, I'll remember his name tomorrow, at the moment it's irrelevant because he has never spoken for me.
And then there is Virginia Foxx in the Congress from my district.
I am so sadly represented.

And people think it was an easy stroll but it wasn't. She was the victim of many hideous attacks that were gender-based and heritage-based. There is a reason why MA has never had a woman governor elected in her own right, and EW is our FIRST ever female Senator. The Commonwealth has been, up to now, "Bro-ville." We're FINALLY breaking out of that mold. It's been a long time coming.

I worked my ass off for Maaaah-tha (Coakley) too. Twice. Senate (v. Brown) and Governor (v. that dipstick Baker). That was so heartbreaking. Can't win 'em all but we have to keep trying!

Here's the thing--you can't give up. Even in a wingnut state. It sucks, but ya got to keep going. Ya gotta get in there and just do it....move that rubber tree plant! Be The Ant!! INFECT others with your relentless enthusiasm! Eventually, others will catch what you're carrying!!

She has the exact same amount of experience for that job as she has for the AG one.

She has absolutely ZERO judicial or prosecutorial experience. She's an academic. Her specialty is FINANCE--high and otherwise.

That was probably The Most Uninformed Comment I have EVER seen here on DU.

Never mind the fact that Sanders is going to drop out sooner rather than later and will not be the nominee and will not be elected.

smdh!!!!!!

If I had to guess, EW will stay in the Senate for awhile and take on an increasingly visible leadership role. If she wants to leave that body, I could see her taking Yellen's gig or going in as Vice Chair (like Yellen did) and fleeting up to the main job.

But AG? Come off it!!! Why not make her SECDEF!

As FLOTUS, she visited--and got to know--pretty much every leader and nation in the world. In the Senate, she served on the SASC.

Her preparation for the job was second-to-none.

EW has never prosecuted a soul for any reason. Yet you're gonna make her AG?

Too funny!

entirely unqualified!

The hilarity is that there are so many people coming out of the woodwork to defend this obtuse suggestion....which says so much, so clearly!

till you I guess--I've never seen anything like this on DU in my life. It says a lot about the state of education nowadays, I guess.

I live in Connecticut, but was born in MA, raised our kids in MA. I love Elizabeth Warren. Our CT Senators are pretty good, too, but Warren rocks it.

Just like Jeb wouldn't. They are too tied to the system and know Trump would ounce on them. He has no fear and no manners. Hillary and Jeb are virtually the same person.

OT question -- wondering why Bill said he always wanted to meet Michael during this interview and acting as if they'd never met, when Michael was on the panel in 2014?
