On the books, Pennsylvania has somewhat tougher gun laws in relation to the rest of the country, according to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. The gun-control group gives Pennsylvania a 26 out of 100 rating on its state scorecard, the 10th strictest in the country.
