Analysis Shows Trump Is Not Expanding Republican Membership

Trump has been claiming that he has broad appeal and that he is bringing milions of demo and independents into the Republican party. An analysis done by politico shows that Trump supporters throughout the primaries and up through today are just run of the mill, die hard republicans that have been supporting republican presidential candidates for years. There is no evidence that any significant portion of Trump's supporters are independents or democrats.

This is probably a correct analysis. Seems as if it's more that Drumpf is energizing the Rethug base, more so than drawing indies and Dems. This is the only way to explain his record number of primary votes.

to see through the con game he's selling to the Repub rubes. They're falling for the empty promises and won't listen when they are refuted, or even when he contradicts them himself at the next rally. Trump is probably the most highly polished turd the Repub party has presented to the public since Reagan, at least.
