House Defeats LGBT Measure by One Vote

May 19, 2016 (WASHINGTON) There was an amendment included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would prevent discrimination for Gay and Lesbians by federal contractors. As the final vote came, 7 republcians, among them Daryl Issa, changed their votes to no. The house exploded into bedlam as Democrats screamed shame! repeatedly.

This is the statement from Democratic Whip Stenny Hoyer:

By the way, there was a day when CNN would break to bedlam in the House.

Steny also said this reminding me even more of Nevada than just the anger & shouting.

Mr. Speaker, from a parliamentary perspective, how is that possible?" Hoyer said. ...

My post on this plus some snark.

I saw it and I went, hmm waited for Hoyer's statement

By the way, notice how much attention this is having in this wonderfully liberal site? It tells me a lot, Like when they ignore actual stories about Black Lives Matter.

The only time some seem to give a shit is when our rights can be used to "score points" for their candidate.

yup...

I noticed that pattern, which gives me a case of scratching of my head. And I will leave it at that. To me that story was significant, but apparently not to so called liberal democrats.
