The ever-principled Mitt Romney BAILS on his #NeverTrump "3rd Party Candidate" hobby,

Washington (CNN)Mitt Romney won't launch a third-party presidential campaign of his own and has stopped trying to recruit somebody else to do it.

The 2012 Republican nominee had attempted to recruit a challenger to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. But prospects like Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse said no, and Romney is now dropping his efforts, a source familiar with Romney's thinking told CNN. The news was first reported by Yahoo News.

It's the latest blow to the "Never Trump" movement -- a group of conservatives led by Romney, blogger Erick Erickson and The Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol -- to find an alternative to Trump.

Romney still hopes a candidate will emerge. But an adviser to the "Never Trump" efforts confirmed Tuesday night that the efforts are looking grim.

Since when do Republicans not fall in line? They'll have their convention, and get all kissy-poo and make up, they'll crown Trump as the Republican Demigod, and will unite behind him. Like they always unite behind their candidate. One word... "history"... learn some. And maybe try not to bring Primary shitheadedness in here.

But the last time that Democrats bought into "the candidates are the same" line, we got an unprincipled, ignorant, callous, greedy know-nothing narcissist who took us to war because he felt like his family got dissed. Trump is pretty much W The Next Generation and if you don't think that Democrats need to be united and STFU with this stupid shit about not voting Democratic, then you're a much worse problem than the screamers.

DNC bought Democratic Underground? Watch Alex Jones much do you?

This is one of the really unfortunate things about DU. Instead of trying to compose an actual reply, a lot of morons try to tag someone as part of some conspiracy. "Ooh, you disagree with me! So you're part of duh DNC con-SPIR-uh-see!" I suppose if you take DU as a representative cross-section of liberalism, then conspiracy theories are quite often a liberal trait. How does it feel to be wrong on both a basic and a meta level? Moron.
