Jolene Cisneros knew something had gone horribly wrong when she heard screams coming from children on the Cinco de Mayo carnival ride.
Cisneros 10-year-old daughter, Jaylee, was on the ride, the Kings Crown, and Cisneros didnt know if she was hurt.
As she approached the ride, she could see that the injured child was screaming, and then I saw the fear and the tears and the terror of the other children.
She later would learn that the injured child was 11-year-old Elizabeth Lulu Gilreath, who had fallen to the floor of the ride and had her scalp ripped off by a spinning mechanism that May 7 afternoon in South Omaha.
