but it is not his supporters I am concerned about. The hard core trumpeters are going to and have been ignoring everything about him not sure why this would be any different.

I don't buy for a second that once the company defaulted and ownership went to the bank Trump was allowed to send the planes wherever he wanted. My bet is the government contracted the planes to pick up the troops and Trump had absolutely nothing to do with it as he no longer was a part of the business. Maybe I am ignorant and when banks seize control of your company they allow you to continue to squander the resources of the company but I would need to see proof of that before I believed it.

The other bonus in this fabricated story is it points out another one of trumps failures. A rather large failure at that with lots of background condemnation in it. Employees went on record at the time saying what a mess he made of it.

The story in question involves Camp Lejuene (NC) and Miami (FL).

Upon his unit’s return to the United States, the former Marine says the group spent several weeks decompressing at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina before heading back to Miami.

I am not trying to be an asshole here, but it's not like these men were stranded in Saudi Arabia, They were stateside. There is something else from the Wiki link that makes me doubt the truthiness even more. Check it out:

It operated hourly flights on Boeing 727 aircraft from LaGuardia Airport in New York City to Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., then known as Washington National Airport. Trump Shuttle never had planes flying in Miami or South CArolina. How did he get that plane onto a military base?

Second Snopes READER SUBMITTED Trump Shuttle portion of the article is false based on a poorly written article in 2011. If you go to articles in 1991 Trumps COO Richard F. Cozzi, SR VP (and founding exec in 1989) Ray Grebey and Spokewoman Joan C. Fudala were still running the show. Snopes READER analasis is based on Trump Shuttle being sold early 1991 prior to this flight, however it was not sold until Dec 1991 and taken over fully until 1992 by USAir

The fact remains Trump no longer owned the shuttle. It was owned by the bank at that point. The fact that management was still in place has no bearing on the article posted by Hannity claming Trump sent the shuttle to pick up the stranded vets.


He lost the shuttle in September 1990 he no longer had any control over operations and if you think the bank that was trying to recover it's money would have been OK with charity flights well apparently you will buy anything.

What likely happened is the government contracted with Trump shuttle to provide the service Donald had nothing to do with it.
