I'm starting to think egyptair plane crash was not terrorism

Usually the terrorist group comes right out and claims fame. That has not happened
Maybe I am being conditioned to think this way. Sometimes I just want to give up and go live in a cave.

Then again I was wrong once

from this Egypt Air plane. Eventually we will know what happened. The only reason I'm leaning more towards terrorism is that the Greek air control was unable to communicate with the plane as it was leaving Greek air space - they tried several times and got no answer - soon after that it made the "out-of-control" type movement as it was falling out of the sky.

who were hoping against hope. My heart breaks for them. But I would think better than for those whose loved ones were on that plane that simply vanished (Malaysia air). No closure would break their hearts every day.

Usually, but not always, terror groups come out within 24 hours to claim responsibility, almost always with a "we did this because blah blah blah"

Not to say that this wasn't terrorism... it could have been a lone wolf operation operating without specific orders of knowledge by the group or groups that the individual identifies with.

Or there could be other explanations.

Way too soon to even speculate. Planes do crash, sometimes without warning.

this was an airliner... not a small plane.

It had to have both a pilot and co-pilot.

The only way a "suicide" works over the ocean is if one of the two overpowers the other and then drives the plane into the ocean. A little different than the asshole who drove his airliner into the side of a mountain (and apparently did it with minor changes to the autopilot).

However, until they recover the "black boxes" ( orange actually ), we won't know.

I still think that every airliner should be modified to send their black box data and cockpit voice recorder data to a satellite communications system. That way the authorities would not need to recover this from airliners and, if it is terrorism, it would give them real time information to start looking for associates of the perpetrators.

... that terrorists with a Nazi background don't openly admit what they did. They only tell their deeds to their own crowd and then start blaming their victims.

It'll be a while before the investigators can tell us what happened. Best be patient in the meantime.

A320's are common and well known planes, so I wouldn't bet on some catastrophic structural failure.

Pilot error - possible but not common during the cruise phase of the flight, so low probability.

The erratic actions are the end of the flight indicate either a struggle in the cockpit, or pilots trying to recover a critically damaged airplane (small explosion?).

Anything is possible right now, but if forced to bet, I'd go with terrorism.

A Greek defence ministry source earlier told Reuters news agency that Greek officials were investigating an account from the captain of a merchant ship who said he had seen a "flame in the sky" some 240km (130 nautical miles) from Karpathos.

Egypt's army spokesman said wreckage and passenger belongings had been found 290km (180 miles) from Alexandria.
Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos said a body part, two seats and at least one suitcase had been found.
The items were found slightly to the south of the area where the plane disappeared from radars on Thursday, Mr Kammenos said.
European Space Agency satellites spotted an oil slick in the area where the flight had vanished but the organisation said there was no guarantee it was from the missing plane.

but as with everyone else--- who knows for sure yet??? Now a rational question--- if it turns out Trump is correct,, is he an even bigger asshole because he was?? Am I also? I do agree with the above poster--- usually some group will immediately boast of the ''glory'' of killing innocent passengers and take credit.
