(53,956 posts)Besides the above examples, there is also Alexander the Great, The Theban 400, many Roman Generals, and a variety of other examples from all kinds of cultures. Sexual orientation was rarely even considered in many ancient cultures as to whether one could lead a successful army.
It's bigots which are more of a threat as they are lead by fear and hate.
