Donald Trump choosing the SCOTUS would be a disaster for generations. Can you imagine Tom Cotton on the Court? It's stomach churning.

Literally. Bernie or Hillary would have veto pens and use them, as Obama does today. Trump, on the other hand, would basically have a rubber stamp.

The president has veto power, the power to nominate federal judges and the SCOTUS, and he has the power of the bully pulpit, and executive orders, also foreign treaties and agreements. He has emergency powers, and he can draft legislation and send it to congress, and lets face it, our president is the de facto leader of the free world and he has the power to do great, and terrible, things.

Also, there a good chance the Dems will take the Senate back because the Rs have more seats up for reelection. Even if it doesn't change the Rs don't have a veto proof majority in the Senate.
