just a note: I have been very ill (a bout with a nasty Sepsis infection which lead to a massive heart attack and a valve replacement - I are now a member of the ipper club)since late january, which is why I disappeared completely from these boards and the internet. I am now on the road to full recovery.. not the way to start out retirement, but it is what it is.

That sounds nasty to deal with, but hopefully you are making a full recovery, sounds like it. Best Wishes!

Of the reason for your absence, I can only say: Bummer! On the other hand, once you feel well enough to enjoy it, I think you'll find retirement very rewarding. I have been exploring the territory for several years now, and there's gold in them thar hills.
