I'm confused. How is the NRA still meeting?
Didn't Obama take all their guns in 2009? And again in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015?

Trump has a concealed permit for a Derringer, right? His tiny hands couldn't grip a regular-sized gun.

(11,330 posts)that contrasts the 'they will take your guns' rhetoric for 20 years while showing the constant increase in guns?
Essentially try to make 'they will take your guns' into a broad joke to make people laugh at that argument?

(1,621 posts)I never understood how attempting to have a conversation about making it slightly harder for criminals to get guns is a slippery slope to or equivalent to taking guns away from law abiding citizens. The reaction is sort of like when health officials warned us about bacon. "Not only are you not going to take my bacon away, I'm going to go nuts and put it in milkshakes and ice cream" Of course bacon kills a lot more slowly...

a good friend passed away recently. In 2009, he became convinced Obama would take away ammunition. He stockpiled thousands of rounds in a room in his basement. Now his widow is faced with ridding their home of all this dangerous material. Such a waste of his efforts.

(10,164 posts)It's certainly valuable material, given the sky-high ammunition prices these days. Worth thousands...which I'd imagine woudl come in handy for his widow.
