Right-wing "political correctness"...

Right-wingers are always accusing liberals of being "politically correct". But, it could be argued that they have their own problem with "political correctness". How many of them are brave enough to take a position against their anti-choice brethren? They don't dare.

How many are willing to go against the NRA, and the Republican Party in general, on the gun issue. They are straight 2nd Amendment on the issue. They do not dare to speak up for even the slightest "threat" against the right to bear arms, not even the slightest mental test to keep insane people from getting their hands on them. What kind of political correctness is that?

They are "politically correct" to their own opinions, just as liberals are politically correct to their own opinions.

1. That's ideologically correct, not politically correct (although there is some degree of overlap).

But there ARE pro-life factions in the Republicans. I'm not sure where this myth of lockstep comes from (although, for what it's worth, they have the exact same thoughts of us, even about 'lockstep', despite the clear differences many of our groups have), but it seems to have become all-pervasive.

It's silly.

If there's one thing I've learned reading internet forums over the years it's that both sides have a very poor understanding of their opposition. Neither is as diabolical or homogenous as the other imagines it.

they stick with their guns and the NRA mostly for political reasons, in my opinion. That is their own version of "political correctness" which they profess to abhor.

5. I laugh in their faces when they bring up PC

That hasn't been a thing since the early 90s. I remind them that, they're the only ones talking about PC and maybe they should catch up to the rest of us in 2016.

Anytime some major PC explosion occurs it consists some incident (on the rare occasion some actual PC type stupidity, most often some twisted rational to create something out of nothing) and millions of apocalyptic facebook screeds/message board replies etc bemoaning how PC is destroying the country.

Its become red meat for their imbecile voter base. PC isn't a thing any more. We've all moved on from it. The idea was interesting, the implementation was a failure, and it was over 20 years ago.

faux-newshead: God damned nig***s, sp**cs, dy***es and fagg**ts - we need to build us some good old fashioned concentration camps and crank the ovens up for these parasites. I'll even help them a target practice range in them so that I can adjust the sites on my AR15 on them before we put them in the ovens.

Myself: Holy shit guy - that has to be the most vile crude and inhumane thing I have ever heard someone say.

faux-newshead: What - trying to censor me you politically correct hippie piece of shit? There's a thing called the first amendment in the country you know.

Note - that was a real actual conversation I had on FB with an old high school alum right before he got added to my blocked list. The weirdest thing was - it was on a thread about backyard gardening.
