Jon Stewart adopts horse after paintball attack left it blind in one eye

http://6abc.com/news/jon-stewart-adopts-lily-the-horse-after-paintball-attack/1349907/

Lily first made headlines in March, after the emaciated, half-blind pony was found in New Holland Sales Stables in Lancaster County, Pa., covered with more than 100 colorful marks from what appeared to be a paintball gun.

The horse’s owner, Philip Price, Jr., 65, was attempting to auction off the animal.

Price was convicted Friday of five charges of animal cruelty regarding his handling of Lily. He faces $3,056 in fines and $10,176 in medical costs for the horse.

How could anyone with a conscious do this to an animal?

That's the point, this person has no conscience.

fucking piece of shit who abused Lily, sitting right next to him. I'd be happy to hear each day of their incarceration, those fucking pieces of shit underwent paintball treatment.

I so hate these animal cruelty stories. I usually just read the headline and then trash because I just can't take it. Animal cruelty and child abuse stories kick my ass and always bring out the very worst of my deepest darkest soul.

I HATE THESE PEOPLE

PA. Amish are also well known for their cruel treatment of breeding dogs in their puppy mills - keeping the mother dogs in tiny cages 24/7 and breeding them 3 times a year. Never buy a puppy at a chain pet store! Not only are you supporting the puppy mill profiteers, you are purchasing an animal with often severe health problems.

I cannot believe some of the shit we read about the goings on in a nearby town, county or state. If this guy treated this poor horse like this, wonder how his family is doing (if he has one.) Thank you Jon Stewart for taking Lily in. I'm sure the rest of her life will be filled with as much joy an old girl can handle.
