How hard can it be?
Speaking for unemployed Americans, I cannot tell you how disgusting it must be to not be employed while the Congress goes around and does ZILCH. And worse, no one calls them out on it on a DAILY basis.
The country WILL hand the "keys" to Romney if this situation keeps getting worse. It doesn't have to be that way. Romney is a self important, entitled, weather-vaning political hack. I can't imagine what the country would be should he win.
Outline the Congress and their inaction....EVERYDAY.....just like Roosevelt and Truman did. Mr. President, I beg you to put the onus to act for job creation on Congress.

(93,532 posts)...and this will make getting a more progressive congress harder.
I think rMoneys approvals will be in the high 30s in the next two months...they're already trending there so the fight is for congress not the cop dressing azzhole Mitt.
If Obama did what Krugman said and asked for the 1.5 trillion dollar appropriation for stimulus and then got turned down then he'd be able to campaign on that and TOTALLY blame the conservatives without much retort...
Now he has to come up with partisan looking bills where he has to highlight that conservatives are stymieing progress but has to get this in the minds of Americans in less than 4 months...
Not an easy job

(16,993 posts)He needs to explain the jobs bills that haven't passed, and who prevented their passage.
He needs to show Americans how many jobs they would have created, and the impact those jobs would have had on the deficit, as more workers start paying taxes.
He should close by stating that the GOP is doing this to prevent him from having a second term, and that if they harm the American people by doing so, it's worth it to them.
Then every Democrat in Congress needs to keep talking about this every chance they get.

(25,250 posts)The repukes, along with the unreported capital strike by Big Business, are playing cruel, sadistic games with unemployed Americans by deliberately sabotaging the economy to try to make Obama look as if he'd done nothing to spur a recovery. Rethugs and unelected corporate tyrants are colluding to refuse to hire and/or lend money to people in order to run Obama out of office.
Obama needs to make it clear that bailed-out banks are hoarding trillions of dollars they should use to get the economy running again.

(64,430 posts)the RW noise machine will just accuse him of whining.
Too much of the electorate will buy into the RW spin, too. It sucks.
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
