I'm buying thousands of imported, rotting Mexican tomatoes to provide to insulted Hispanic voters, at the upcoming TRUMP rally, in Albuquerque! THINK OF IT: FREE MEXICAN TOMATOES TO PROVIDE FOUNDATION FOR THE WALL! We can toss them to Trump, allowing him to teach us ways to build the "Mexican Wall." But how will we get Mexico to pay for it?

More than 7,000 people gathered in the Albuquerque Convention Center on Friday to hear Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders speak. It was just hours after he spoke at the Santa Fe Community College. Enthusiastic supporters waited in a half-mile-long line for nearly an hour and hundreds were turned away when the venue was full.
KUNMs Marino Spencer chatted with folks to find out why theyre feelin the Bern.
Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump will rally his supporters in Albuquerque on Tuesday. Former President Bill Clinton will rally for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday in Española and on Wednesday in Albuquerque. http://kunm.org/post/voter-voices-bernie-sanders-abq-rally

(15,235 posts)Gov. Martinez wont attend Trump rally in Albuquerque

Gov. Susana Martinez will not be in the audience when presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump makes a high-profile campaign stop in Albuquerque tomorrow night.
Martinez told reporters after a news conference in Albuquerque today that she will not attend the event.
When asked why, the two-term GOP governor said she was really busy.
Im the governor of New Mexico and Im really focused on whats going on here in New Mexico just like the announcement we just did with 100 new high-tech and research jobs, improving the education for our kids, another job announcement tomorrow, Martinez said. Those are the things that Im concentrating on and Im going to keep concentrating on.
Martinez, who is the chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association, has thus far remained mum on whether shell back Trump. Her stance has drawn scrutiny from national Democratic groups, who have called on her to state a position.

New Mexico's Republican Governor, Susana Martinez, has publicly stated her opposition to Trump's plan to build a large wall separating the U.S. and Mexico and has yet to endorse him. Her spokesman, Chris Sanchez, has not said whether or not she will attend Tuesday's event at this point.
But the head of the Democratic Party in New Mexico did not hold back from criticizing both Trump and Martinez.
"Donald Trump's racist rhetoric and reckless policy ideas are not welcome in New Mexico. Trump's candidacy has brought the worst out in our country, and as Democrats we denounce his harmful attitudes toward our Hispanic communities, his offensive comments about women, and his outlandish policy ideas," Democratic Party of New Mexico Chairwoman Debra Haaland said in a statement Thursday. "Governor Martinez's skittish behavior about giving him her support is a clear indication of how divisive his candidacy has been." http://www.kob.com/albuquerque-news/donald-trump-rally-set-in-albuquerque/4143508/#.V0RhTeSm0n7
The news on a local radio station 99.5 FM also reported Martinez disapproved of several comments by Trump; but the picture is from a similar report at KOAT ABC TV 7:

(111,164 posts)I saw a couple of bumper stickers at the health food store today. I haven't seen any Trump or Clinton stickers around here. Something tells me they're going to be pretty understated, especially the Trump chumps. This is a heavily Hispanic state where white folks are just another minority so Trump's going to be one hell of a hard sell.
