Yordy was not entitled to the assistance of counsel (and experts) guaranteed to criminal defendants ever since Gideon.

Judge Pelletier knew this. The lawyers for the INS knew this. Everyone knew this.

EVERYONE knew that what Judge Pelletier meant was that he simply WOULD NOT CONSIDER how seeing dead bodies in the street outside his home, gangs threatening his family, the death of his uncle and extortion of his mother had affected this 15 year-old child.

Judge Pelletier is NOT an Article III judge. He DOES NOT have lifetime tenure.
