Swedish court upholds arrest warrant for Assange

Updated about 9 hours ago

A Swedish lower court has upheld the arrest warrant for Julian Assange, saying the Wikileaks founder's stay at Ecuador's London embassy did not equal detention ...

"The district court finds that there is still probable cause for the suspicion against JA (Julian Assange) for rape, less serious incident, and that there is still a risk that he will depart or in some other way evade prosecution or penalty," the court said in a statement.

Last year, Sweden's Supreme Court rejected a previous appeal by Assange to revoke a detention order ...

... The court said that it disagrees with an earlier U.N. panel .. which found Assange’s stay at the embassy constitutes arbitrary detention.

Ecuador isn't holding him--they probably want their office back!

They're free to have embassy security physically pick him up and carry him to front gate before flinging him and all his possessions into the gutter back in the UK. He's a guest in their nation and they're entitled to end their hospitality at any time.

I kind of wish they would...I can see Drumpfucker (I really like how much the pronunciation sounds like "dumb fucker" ), if he ends up as President, doing something as stupid as bombing Ecuador over it. I like Ecuadorians and wish them no malice...I don't share the same goodwill for Assange.

Having dated one of the people that had to go in and moderate his OKCupid profile out of existence (It was hidden...this was to remove it from the servers and required actually physically deleting all his answered questions from the database) I can fully believe he's a date-rapist...he's a perverse puppy, a misogynist who believes that he's entitled to women's bodies and that people owe him sex. (He literally answered questions to that effect.) It was and remains preserved offline for possible evidentiary value.

I almost wish it was still available...it does a good job of silencing his supporters and those who think he's the target of a political frame-job.
