Tax protestor who claimed 'expatriated' citizenship loses in court (MI)

Holland, Mich. ... the Ottawa County Treasurer foreclosed James Norbert Napier’s property .. in 2014 for .. delinquent taxes, interest, penalties and fees. Napier objected .. and lost. Napier .. paid the .. balance with the county and his property was taken off the list of foreclosed ... His appeal .. claimed his property should have never been foreclosed .. because he has “expatriated” himself from U.S. citizenship and “repatriated” himself as a “private, state citizen” into the “de jure Michigan republic” ... The state’s court of appeals disagreed ...

As more of them act on their erroneous beliefs, we'll see more of them locked up, dinged with fines, and otherwise gumming up the courts with their special brand of crazy that wants all the benefits and none of the responsibilities of living in our society. Here's hoping some of the rest of their little tribe see what happens to their compatriots and act accordingly, but I'm not holding my breath.
